SALES AGREEMENT AND TERMS

 

This agreement is between ______________________________________________________ (hereinafter referred to as “Buyer”) and Snoot Boop Ragdolls LLC (hereinafter referred to as “Seller”) and is entered into on ______/______/___________. Both parties agree to the following terms and conditions:

 

1. Deposit and Payment

• A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a kitten. This deposit is transferable to another kitten in the same litter (if available) or a future litter up to 2 years from time of deposit as long as the Seller is still in business breeding.

• The remaining balance must be paid in full two weeks prior to pick-up if using a check. Payments via cash or Zelle are accepted at time of pick-up.

2. Vaccination Disclaimer

• The Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) vaccine is considered unsafe and voids all health guarantees in this contract.

• Vaccinations for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) should only be administered upon veterinary recommendation and should be avoided for indoor cats as it has unnecessary risks.

• Rabies vaccinations must not be administered alongside any other vaccine. Failure to comply voids all guarantees.

• No vaccines should be administered on the same day as 2 weeks minimum must be given between vaccinations to avoid and observe potential reactions. Failure to comply voids all guarantees.

3. Surrender and Rehoming

• If the Buyer cannot provide proper care, the cat must be returned to the Seller unconditionally and without reimbursement. Buyer must pay all costs of transport to return to the Seller.

• The cat must not be sold, traded, or given away to any pet shop, laboratory, or euthanasia-practicing facility.

4. Care Requirements

• The cat is to be kept indoors only and not allowed to roam outdoors, whether supervised or unattended. Allowing cat(s) to roam outdoors voids all guarantees.

• The Buyer agrees to provide:

  • Clean, fresh water and a species-appropriate diet.

  • Scratching posts and species-appropriate enrichment. 

  • Kept free from pests such as fleas, ear-mites, fungus, worms, etc. Revolution (recommended), Advantage or Frontline may be used per Buyer’s veterinarian treatment and dosing advice.

• Over-the-counter or prescription medications must not be administered without veterinary approval. Dosing and treatment duration must be followed from the veterinarian. Failure to comply voids all guarantees.

5. Declawing Policy

• Declawing is strictly prohibited. It is a major surgery that mutilates the cat removing the entire first knuckle. It causes pain, health and behavioral issues. Performing this procedure voids all health guarantees and makes the Buyer fully responsible for subsequent health or behavioral issues.

6. Limited Health Warranty

• The cat must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of possession.

  • If a life-threatening condition is found, the Buyer has 48 hours to request a replacement cat. This request must include a letter from the veterinarian.

  • The Seller is not responsible for veterinary bills.

7. 4-Year Genetic Health Warranty and 1-Year FIP Warranty

• The Seller provides a 4-year genetic guarantee against lethal congenital defects and a 1-year FIP guarantee.

  • Claims under these guarantees require a necropsy and documentation from two separate veterinarians from separate practices confirming the defect. Report must state that death was unquestionably a genetic or congenital defect.

  • Replacement cats are subject to availability and shipping costs are the Buyer’s responsibility. Buyer is also responsible for spay or neuter costs.

8. Mistreatment and Neglect

• If the Seller determines the cat has been mistreated, neglected, kept in poor health or conditions or left ill/untreated, the Buyer must surrender the cat to the Seller without reimbursement. Buyer is responsible for medical expenses and travel expenses. Failure to comply voids all guarantees.

9. Allergies

• The Seller is not responsible for allergic reactions but will assist in rehoming the cat without reimbursement to the Buyer.

10. Common Feline Conditions

• The Seller is not responsible for common feline infections beyond the 72-hour health guarantee period.

11. Legal Jurisdiction

• This agreement is governed by the laws of Texas, with venue in Denton County, Texas.

• Buyer agrees to cover any legal fees incurred by the Seller due to the Buyer’s failure to comply with the terms of this agreement.

12. Seller’s Right to Cancel

• The Seller may cancel this agreement and refund all payments before the Buyer takes possession of the cat if it is deemed in the cat’s best interest.

 

Acknowledgments

By signing below, the Buyer acknowledges understanding and agreement to the terms outlined above. This document constitutes a binding legal contract. Buyer agrees to forward all medical records and properly signed registration papers should the cat be surrendered back to the Seller (Snoot Boop Ragdolls LLC) due to breach of contract with no reimbursements to Buyer.
